Michael Phillips, an embedded reporter from Afghanistan and Iraq, has written an excellent book just released called “The Gift Of Valor”. Also Dennis Shepherd has written a good book called “Returning Son” and finally but certainly not least Frank Schaeffer has written many great books with some dedicated to Marines. All three of these authors will be at our Marine parents conference in Kansas City on July 29, 30, 31 along with Ret. Chaplin Gene Gomulka who has written books and articles about military marriage. We also have a Marine, Col. Peterson, who will be giving our closing address. On Saturday, we are offering workshops all day long on important issues that concern Marine families and of course we have great entertainment with Adam Marshall, Alissa Schoon, and hopefully, a Marine ensemble! We will have tons of Marine stuff to buy and bid on during our silent auction and there will be a plaza of Marine related booths. Our reception will be awesome and we will be debuting a DVD dedicated to Marines. We also will honor our Fallen Marines and have Fallen Marine Parent, Candy Wasser speak to us. Please, if you can possibly make it, DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND COME TO THE CONFERENCE!
