Thanks to all who contacted the appropriate persons to keep the lake fees as affordable as possible. Your efforts have been successful! The Park fees we have been given are as follows:

Annual 1st vehicle will be $45.50,

2nd vehicle - $25.50;

Senior/Disabled 1st vehicle - $23.50

2nd vehicle $13.50;

Daily camping $8.00 and the

14-day permits will be $100.00.

This last one is the highest jump. They kept the remaining changes to $10.00 or less. We don’t have the annual camping permits available at this time.

We will have the commemorative buttons on sale at area businesses for your convenience ahead of the Reunion. These will sell for $3.00 per button and you will need one to get past the security gate on Veteran’s Point. Everyone will go through the gate! Your registration table will be at the gate and you may purchase your buttons there. please feel free to buy as many as you would like to help support the Reunion. The entire point will be fenced behind the shower house with NO through vehicle traffic beyond the fence. There will be a marked path for traffic to get back on the main road, but there will be NO THROUGH TRAFFIC. Those Vets & family members that registered last year need to check in at the point entrance before purchasing their buttons off site. We have a special “Thank you” for you for continuing your registration and keeping your address correct for our mailings. Cindy will have the list from last year available.

This year’s highlighted item will be a 2002, Harley Davidson, 1200 Custom Sportster. Raffle ticket price will be $20.00 each. The drawing will be on Saturday, July 16th, between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. The raffle tickets can be obtained from the reunion staff or by mailing your request for tickets to the above address and we will attach your stubs to your registration card to be picked up when you get there unless you enclose a self addressed stamped envelope. Please make sure you print clearly your name and address and if you remember, your belt buckle number to make sure we get your stubs attached to the right person. There is a picture of the cycle on the kvvfr.org web site. For anyone not able to ride it home, one of the staff will gladly volunteer to ride it for you…however getting them off may be a challenge.

Viet Nam Veterans, their families and friends, from all over the nation, will once again be entertained with music of the Nam Era by live bands and the handy DJ skills of our sound man Curtis Davis. There will be auctions, raffles, kids’ entertainment tent, U.S.O. style show, food, drink and other venders. The auctions and raffles are used to fund the reunion's expenses and prepare for the following year. Last year, we helped enable the Ft. Dodge Soldier Home to purchase folding chairs as a replacement for theirs that needed to be replaced.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning and announcements will be made throughout the Reunion of special events. Registration will be opened at 9:00 a.m. Friday July 15th and is still $3.00 each. We will have a convenient donation can for those who really want to help with the extra cash they don’t spend on raffle and auction items located at the front of the stage.

For those of you who know returning Vets from current conflicts, let them know they are welcome too. Never pass up an opportunity to welcome a brother and sister home. You know how you felt when you came home. These kids need you too. Some of them will be going through the same shock you came home with and you each know how much it helps to know there is someone who understands. All veterans are welcome. As in the past, we will have on-site counseling for those wanting to talk &/or listen. If any of you have a special idea or something you would like us to include, contact us to let us know what you have in mind so we can see if it would be feasible. Who knows, maybe your idea could be used for the good of all.

SEE YOU THERE!
