Memorial Day Blossom

How this happened...I haven't a clue. Out of a coral rock, in the front yard, grew a cactus-like plant. From this cactus-like plant two bulbs cultivated. Well, they bloomed, one on thursday morning and the other on friday morning. This picture is of the one that bloomed on this last friday morning. Apparently, these bulbs bloom for one day only. I took some pictures and created this memorial of sorts. Hope you folks like it.

for my memorial day, I have printed a list of every American killed in either Afganistan or Iraq, and am going to place it at the base of the liberty memorial here in KC. I go there EVERY year, usually just to sit and offer my silent thanks. just thought I'd do something a little different this year.
