Hearing the news today I saw that the Lt. has been cleared of charges for murdering two Iraqis. In the incident the Lt. felt threatened by their actions and they would not follow his directions....

Out-freakin'-standing.

Never should have gone to trial in the first place. Maybe sanity is setting back in.

In a situation like that the Lt. did EXACTLY what a Marine should do. Your crew comes first. I was worried that he might become politically expedient.

SEMPER FI LT. IF SOMEBODY KNOWS HOW TO GET THESE POSTS TO THE LT. I'M THINKING THAT HE WOULD PROBABLY ENJOYS SEEING THEM. A LITTLE SOMETHING TO LET HIM KNOW THAT THE TERM SEMPER FI IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND NEVER FORGOTTEN:marine:

Outstanding news, I heard this on the radio earlier today. Anyone that would condemn his actions obviously doesn't have the first idea of what combat is like.

It is much better to be judged by twelve then carried by six!

This is indeed good news. I think a lot of us may have been worried this Marine was being railroaded as a wink to civilian "feel good" PC so that our softer citizens can feel good about themselves. I am glad this is over for him and for us.

It's a great decision for the Corps and the young LT. I don't know for sure, but I don't think Wall Street would have let him back into stock trading if he had a felony record around his neck. :bandit:
