I have a few questions concerning PRK and Lasik Surgery. When is the best time to get either one of them and which is the best choice?

I know that the military prefers PRK and won't perform Lasik, only PRK, so that makes me think that it's probably best. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, PRK takes a lot less time to heal, but it also isn't always as effective. Any time is good as long as your eyes have been stable for at least a couple of years.

PRK is an older procedure, generally speaking not as "gentle" as LASIK from what I'm aware of... give it another 5-10 years, and LASIK will be the gold-standard for DoD.

OMG I WOULDNT GET EITHER!!!!!! BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD I STRONGLY urge you to talk with someone who knows for an absolute fact the correct one. My friend martinez had the prk surgery done and they wont accept him, he's had to go through a lot of trouble and is still not in after 4 years trying. (soon to be five) so I suggest you know what ur doing before you do it.

just a piece of advice
