Two U.S. Marines have been charged in an incident outside a Leesburg bar where they allegedly pointed an AK-47 assault rifle at a man, following a fender bender in the parking lot.
One of the Marines is also charged with threatening a public place after he allegedly told the bartender, "I've got an AK; I've got a clip; and I'll come in and swipe the whole place," according to court records.
The Marines, both of whom Leesburg police said are on active duty status, are Jason Lynwood Hash, 22, and Brandon Ashley Powell, 22. Hash's address is listed in court records as the Marine Corps base at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Powell's address is listed as Leesburg.
