I hope there is someone out there able to help me.I was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received while serving in Nam.The information I am looking for,is knowledge of a General L.E.English.He presented me with the medal and pictures were taken during the ceremony.I never received one and was wondering if maybe,by chance,He would have a copy I could purchase if need be.There must be atleast one of you "JarHeads" that know of him.You can email any information to my profile address.The date was around May of 1966.

WOW Brother, General Lowell E. English was the CG of MCRD San Diego when I was in recruit training in 1967 I could never forget the name as he was at the higher end of my chain of command at the time. I wish you luck in your search.

Yes, General English was the CG at MCRD, SD when I was training recruits. He retired and was living in the SD area. Don't know if he is still around though.
