So some opportunities are starting to come my way- here's the deal:

I've been with my unit since August, and am presently looking at orders to Armorer school in a couple months.

BUT...

In Feb., all the radio ops from my company got activated and shipped out to the sandbox. As a result of that, my status as a non-MOSed Marine, and some volunteering, I've been basically getting a field expedient course as an 0621 for the last couple months. A little while ago, the I&I radio chief asked me if I'd be interested in going to DTC school instead.

Anyone been through it? Thoughts? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance Marines.

what's DTC?

It's basically some highspeed comms gear that lets us multiplex anything and everything. You name it, we can net it, pick it up, transmit over it, or tap into it (Digital Trunking Somethingorother). Apparently the same kind of work in the civilian field pulls down around 60 thousand a year... Hm.

Being offered advanced training is a very sweet deal. Especially as a L/Cpl! Its seems like your doing a fine job Marine!
