Who can remember their last (or any for that matter) in country tactical radio net call signs? Mine was CARSTAIRS 35 Alpha when I was with Mass-3 Motor Transport. CARSTAIRS identified MASS-3 and 35 Identified Motor - T and Alpha identified the NCOIC. Real handy on convoys up north in indian country. The senior command was MACG-18 who was identified as Whiskey Town and Whiskey Town Six was the CO.

Does anyone else remember what theirs was?

Wow Jimmy I remember Dimmer 06 from back in the 70-71 time frame correct me if I am wrong Gunny wasent HMH-463 billited down by Marble Montain south of Danang? MASS-3 was on top of Hill-327 which you may have known better as LZ-13. And by by the way its great to know that there is another winger here to help keep the grunts on their toes. Dont ya just miss the good old days?

Yes , I miss flying and gunning,but not the crashing..Those sudden stops hurt..I knew 327 as 327..
Both of my units were at MMAF..HMM-263 & HMH-463..Left MM late March'71 arrived in the "World" on or about 5 th of April'71
