Just wanted to introduce myself.

Alfredo Macias
El Paso, TX

I'm 22 years old. I have three and a half years of mechanical engineering college under my belt. I've decided to put college on hold. It's not really what I want and who says it's gonna get me where I wanna go?

I enlisted (signed) on February tenth. I wanted to go right in so I requested to ship ASAP. I scored a 95 on my ASVAB. After talking to my recruiter about what I was hoping to do with my life, he advised me to go in as Intel. I want to do DEA or FBI post Marine service (assuming I don't do my 20 years.)

This is something I have wanted to do all my life but in my opinion put off for too long. I never really had the support of anyone to do this but have decided its time for me to make decisions for myself.

I ship to SD in seven days, March 7th. I'm excited, anxious, nervous, and straight up scared ****less. I think that best sums up how I feel right now.

Glad to be on board. I will not quit, and I will be back on June 4th and I will be a Marine!!!

Three and a half years of Mechanical Engineering?

You choose Marine boot camp for your spring break?

Talk to your recruiter about a trip to MIT with the Corps paying the way.

Well Freddy, I support your decission to join the Marines but with your education you might serve the Marines better with that degree. Even if you go with the DEA/FBI you will need that degree.

I don't think that your recruiter advised you well or you didn't listen.

Nice pic. Are you shooting wild pigs or punching paper?

Whatever, the best to you!

Deviousfred,

You will not use a scope in the Corps unless you earned it being a snipper. Do you understand me...???

Good Luck and we will see you back here in June.

Outstanding work Poolee Macias! It seems like you'll have some company going with you to Boot Camp. Two others are shipping the same week as you I believe.

The funny thing is that after the haircuts, you'll all will look alike! :)
