During boot, the song that I thought about all of the time was Welcome to the Machine, by Pink Floyd. Play the song in your head as the camera pans in front of a platoon getting thrashed in the pit.

What do you other Marines think?

Hahaha... actually...

One night, before init. drill, to try and motivate us, our Senior brought in his little boombox radio for like 45 minutes... the last song I heard was Nickelback's "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good..." That was 1st phase.

I didn't get it out of my head until after graduation.

hmnnn the only music I could ever associate with boot was marching music, as that is the only thing I ever heard the whole tiime there

Recruit Bailey and I were "pot shack privates" during mess week, July 1983. We were at 1st bat. mess hall. We started singing CCR's "Bad Moon Risn'"

There were many songs that I can relate to boot camp in 1965 but 1 stands out.

"Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones.

A song that practically sounds like it's written for USMC Poolees was one that was a big deal for me before I left, not only for the reason that I'm a fan of the band, but the lyrics hit black.

Song is "Back and to the Left" by Texas is the Reason
