When is the Flag at half Mast ??

OK... for some reason, the powers that be here at work seem to think I should take over caring for the flags (3) out front.

Hummmmmmm.... wonder why they think a MARINE would like to take that over.... not that I've been b!tch!n' or nuthing like that :marine:

Any why, been looking for a list of specific days that our Nations Colors should fly at half mast.

Memorial day, until noon
By proclimation of the President, or State official

I did find a web site that will 'alert' my e-mail to half staff days, but I want to know ahead of time. Any help out there ??

Sometimes tha President will declare the flag to be lowered to half staff. In Michigan the Governor has issued that any time a soilder, Marine, Sailor or Airmen die in the foriegn wars that was from Michigan we are to lower our flags to half staff.
