First off, sorry it still says poolee, and dep, but i don't know how to change it. I tried to reregister but it wouldn't let me, said i already had an accout. But I'm a PFC with Fast Co. who is deploying to Cuba soon and i wanted anyone who has been to Guantanamo Bay to give me any info or helpful stuff about it, and what it's like there and stuff. Thanks

Back in '79 there were trenches, bunkers, mine fields, wire, the whole ten yards. You could look across the field, and see them seeing you.
Don't know about now.
Weather wise, it's south of Florida.

Lots of Iguanas and very few females! Food wasn't too bad and booze was cheap. I am pretty sure there is still no libo! Hahaha!
Oh, the movie theater sells beer by the case! Or at least they used to.

Spent 12 months there 85-86 with Company L, NSGA working in the house at the top of JPJ Hill. Not much to do back then but go to the Windjammer or the Chief's Club. They opened the McDonalds the day I left.
