Hello everyone!
I was wondering if anyone could be able to tell me more about MOS 3043 Supply Administration and Operations Clerk. I have tried to look it up, but can't really find anything, even about.com doesn't really say much about it. My recruiter won't be available all week. What I really wanted to know is if you sit at a desk all day long or do anything physically, and if Supply is deployed to Iraq. I would love to go to the Middle East, it's where all the action is! I have 7 month's to Boot. Can't wait.

Thank you,
Mirela

Hiya Mirela! The best way and probably the only way is through your recruiter. Evan if ur recruiter is gone, there should be another recruiter that can fill in ur question for ya. Good luck to ya!

Hey Poolee my primary MOS was 3071 aviation supply clerk and I attended school at NAS Millington TN for three months for it. I got PCS (perminent change of station) orders for FMFPAC WESPAC (Viet Nam) but when I got to Okinawa the needs of the Corps dictated that I be retrained to 3531 motor vehicle operator. I am sorry that I can't give you much help on what your job will be, but I am here to advise you that there is a very good chance that you will be sent to a combat zone. Please be advised that all Marines are basic 0311's riflemen and you will serve in that capacity if those same needs of the Corps arise. I admire your desire to be one of the few and stand by to help you with your questions until you ship out for MCRDPI and then you will have far better mentors than me. I wish you nothing but the best in your quest to earn the title of United States Marine.

7 months will fly by really quickly, I enlisted in the DEP last June, it feels like I was at MEPS just yesterday...

A good MOS and a skill needed around the Corps. You will have many opportunities to travel and be assigned to various types of units.

Good luck.

First make it through boot camp before you worry about MOS school. Thats what everyone tells me but I heard if your 03XX SOI will be alot harder than MCRD.

I agree with Welbaum. It just seemed like I went to MEPS yesterday. I remember everything that happened. Only 4 1/2 half months til I go to PI. I am excited and EXTREMLY motivated.

Poolee Mirela, Welcome. 3051 here and we work side by side. About 75% of the time you'll be sitting down but you'll be playing a key role in our mission. Yes, supply does deploy. "The steel don't fly without supply."
