On the north side of the rivers bank,
sat blackcoat silently sleeping.
When the sounds of war awoke him from his slumber,
he opened his eyes.
His brazen light burned brightly
across the dark waters of the Sung Thu Bon.

They were scanning, searching its surface
seeking out what foe
had dared to awaken him from his dreams.

The drizzling drops of rain blown by the wind
were now bathed in his light
their silvery glow pounded relentlessly
on the dark vessel
floating gallantly in the rivers of the night.

A harsh roar and the tank
spit out its explosive growl
and the ship was no more.

The wooden boat blown
into thousands of little pieces,
settled back down
on its peaceful floating platform
and sailed off into eternity.

There was no secondary explosion.
