Hey you all! I told you guys and girls I would be back and tell you when my friends graduates from the Marines! Friday of this week he finally graduates! He went in June 20th of 04. He had a big medical problem while he was in boot and they put him in some platoon so he could recover. He stuck in there and the Marine was also good enouf to work with him so he could get back into another platoon. Im very happy for him stickin in there and I hope he has a succsessful 4years in the Corps!

GO CHAD:marine: !

Scheduled boot camp time doesn't apply to all recruits. Been that way for years....medical,attitude,motivation etc. I was one of the lucky ones....not one extra day in boot for me...no way. I have seen some that spent almost a year in boot...congrats to your new Marine friend.

Well I must say, spending alote of time with my new Marine friend. He really has a differant attitude about himself. He stands up straight and proud with hands behind he's back, He also seems to stride for perfection in things. I never thought I would ever see him like this. Just yesterday at he's house, he walked past his sink and he straightend up the soap bottle(this just isnt Chad). Theres just so many small things you can see from him. I am a very proud friend and very happy for him!
Seeing all this that i've seen come out of Chad, I just wanted to become a Marine even more and I hope the day comes where I can also become a proud, disapline Marine!
WAY TO GO CHAD!

SEE YA

NOTE: thanks for that oorah gbudd! I appreciate it bro!

Bret, the Chad that you knew is no longer, this is very deffinately your friend Chad. He has gone through the transformation, I like to think of it as evolution of the modern man. He has just started this evoultion, there are many levels to this and he has many more that he will transend.:marine:

Brett The Drill Instructors do an outstanding job at the MCRD's first they break you down totally physically, mentally and spiritually then mold you into a mighty force that never changes a United States Marine. Believe me I was a tough one but they beat me into shape and my parents couldnt believe the change they saw.

Yeah but this young piece of civilian stuff didnt know at the time unitil it was all over. I was in shock and they awed me. They were so proud of my improved performance they promoted me to house mouse to make sure that I knew they loved me.

Sheet! During the first hygeine inspection, the Drill Instuctor ripped out my sparse chest hairs one by one. That when I knew this is going to be different! LOL ;)

I'm sure that it was done in a very gentle and loving manner, just be glad that your chest was not densly populated.
