Poems III
Poem..."Always Listen to Yourself"
Always listen to yourself
It is better to be wrong than
simply to follow convention.
If you are wrong, no matter,
you have learned something
and you will grow stronger.
If you are right, you have
taken another step towards
a fulfilling life."
- Author Unknown -
"Talent is God-given be humble
Fame is man-given be thankful
Conceit is self-given be careful!!!

You might ask; "Why Poems"? somewhere among all those words are answers that many are seeking.
In Vietnam, we talk to which ever God you worship, one on one.
We came back with a loss of faith, not in our God, but the men that were Priests, Minsters, Rabbi's and anything else in between.
Because sometimes their message was falling on deaf ears.
When you're down to basic of whatever a human is, you learn that you could go from being common to instant violence in a matter or part of a second of time.
Many of us came back and we buried that part of our lives.
It took me a while to do that, now many see only one side of me.
Yet that which we buried is still there, but we use discipline to keep it buried.
Some of us write poems, books or memiors and we read poems such as those by author unknown to give so mean to a part of our lives that was madness.
I always thought that poetry was for sissies, but as you age, you see things different.
Now you see the humanity of man in those words.
I must be getting old, its too early in the morning for all this.
Bear with me.
