I still have 6 months till i ship, but i enlisted as active.......is there anyway i can go reserve.

Have you sworn in yet?? If not there is still probably a chance. I'd say just stay active. Nowadays there isnt much difference anyway.

well yea i swore in , im in the DEP but as active........im not totally sure i want to try to switch to reservist but its been crossing my mind alot.
They would have to DEP Discharge you and you'd have to go through MEPS processing again for new Contracts and it depends on if your Recruiting Station has an Open Reserve slot for you. <br />

Like i said its not a final decision but i just wanted to know if it was possible if i wanted to do it.
I really dont feel like going through MEPs again, the reason is small and i know its not a good reason to want to be a reservist rather than active so im not even gona bother saying it.
Thanx gunny, 95% chance of staying active and 5% going reserve lol
