WellSh*t....Im off of 270 and 3c. My father is near me also...he is a 20 year Marine. 3 Tours in Nam. Frankies is a Restaurant here in Grove City owned by another Marine. Good to know I have Brothers near me!

Mercy it gets better by the minute. Needless to say im deeply touched by your familys history of service to the Corp.Gudalcanal was certinally one of the darker days of war in Pacific another hell I remember hearing they had to take parts off our fighter planes to keep the ones they had in the air.
My brother Phil on Iwo Jima 5th Div 28marines he lives in VA. beach VA.we met about 4yrs ago first in 20yrs. i got off the Appalachion Trail after a hike 1oomi wilderness Monson to Mt Kahdin 5000ft. little more Finished last 1ooo in 96 Ga to harpers ferry WVA week before 71 birthday finished 10wks 4 days july 4th went out with a bang.Rode bike Coast to Coast Calif. to 5 1/2 wks 25oo mi. St Simon Ga.Oh well i rode half the country & walked the other half Went to Shennodas in VA. 50 to 60 a day for week whew last summer bikeing was tougher than carrying the backpack around Blackstone.Oh Well just a little info.

Where is Olean, N.Y.? I did a week bycycle ride around 7 lakes about 6 yrs back The Bon Ton Roulet pretty popular ride lots of big hills & winerys.

Same right back to ya.' Thanks' JAG5150 Wow the obituary each day has names of all branches in it I believe WW2 , Viet Nam Korean War & now the younger generation in Iraque & Afgafstan

Corpsmen will always be cosidered part of the Corps as far as I'm concerned. Too many Marines owe their lives to the heroism of the Navy Corpsmmen. A heartfelt Merry Xmas and a very happy new year to you and yours Doc, for you and your kind will always be an integral part of the Marine Corps. A majorly big OOOORRRAAHH, from me to you.

Needless to say i thank you for the kindness extended me in your thread . I most certinally want to thank you for all your places of service to the Corp & your Country most of all thanks for checking in . I think its so neat here i am in Ohio & you in Oregon & we can share our feelings & be part of a lasting friendship of the Corp. My only brother now 84 served on USS Ranger & on Iwo Jima 5th Div Co. C 28 Marines his Co. put up flag he retired 20yrs Gunny Sgt. Now lives in Virginia , City. Thank you.
