By reading all the threads on this site, SparrowHawk just happens to be the most imaginative, creative, and LOCO member.

Some questions are too hard to answer....let's say, based on what I know....he just likes to keep things stirred up.

He's a saint unless your the guy that got his beer and soda ration in the the Nam. Like all Marines he can be your best friend or your worst nightmare of an enemy.

WOW!!! I just read that awesome post. It gave me shivers! You are a very well spoken man with a great nack for making people's day. It must be a So Cal thing. Did I ever tell you I lived in LA for about 19 years? Yup...a little place called Culver City.

I member you! When I was on the police force;

You're that skinny little Mexican-looking chola girl, I busted for joy-riding in East LA!

You repented of your evil ways and joined LAPD's Explorer's program in SouthWest division. I bought you an ice cream, and you followed me throughout the police station for three days after that.

LOL

OK...you got me!!! Yeah right!!

I'm not even mexican..much less a Chola. My husband calls them "dooky lipstick" girls! Culver City isn't in East LA, it's on the West side!

I concur with Jerry! But Cook is a good trouble maker not one of them bad trouble makers. We all know what happens to bad trouble makers on Leatherneck.com. I especially don't like it when he teases us with all that good food he takes pictures of before eating and not sharing. He's stingy! lol

As long as I've been on board, he could be a little of both.

I'll take him either way, as long as he doesn't reach through the screen and grab me. LOL-----------LOL

SparrowHawk creates an atomosphere for the creative mind. Wether we are sinful or saintly depends on how we interpret the offerings of the SparrowHawk. That said I am more prone to be a sinner than a saint when I visit SparrowHawks domain.

Sparrowhawk you remind me of some of the Marines I hung with in New Bern at "The Last Resort"! Those were great times. Returning to Milwaukee was a bummer...missed all the teasing and friendship. Oh well, getting old is a bummer....

A chapter, a publisher requested goes out Thursday and my secretary is busy finishing the editing on some other pages soon. She will be done by December 24th.

So, the book will be coming out early next year. There are some Marines that will be reading a copy before I send out the full manuscript to the editor, to give me input and any last minute advice, from their recollections of military life in the Corps.

Thanks for asking

Cook
