After a lifetime of dreaming, a year in the DEP, and 13 weeks at MCRD, I AM FINALLLY A US MARINE! I want to thank all the Marines on this site that have helped me along the way, I would also like to tell all the Poolees here that boot camp is hard but bein a Marine is worth it, the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train! OORAH!

Congratulations MARINE. You made it!! There is no better feeling than that which you get when folks see you in that outstanding uniform. The worst is over, now it's up to you to do your best to continue to live up to the honor of being a MARINE.

I want to make a short note to Poolees who are leaving for boot. If you go to San Diego or Parris Island, this applies just the same. When you go to recieving you may be down, your probably gonna be homesick and want to go home. But remember this.....when ever you feel like you want to quit, whenever you feel like your gonna cry, remember that someone back home believes in you, so you sure as heck best believe in yourself. that saying helped me get through the rough times in boot camp, and i hope it helps you just the same....Semper Fi
