Top, Many thanks! I was one of his boys at PISC from 1980-1983 and at Albany in 1985/86. I'm the one who masterminded and led 2 others on a mission to "borrow" the base bell at Parris Island and put it on his desk in Dec 1983. I also sent him some fish in the US Mail in the heat of summer that he blamed on WO1 Simpler, and I wisely didn't own up to until I was "safely" out in 1986, and we were tilting some aluminum in his back yard in Sylvester (about 20 miles east of Albany). I'll contact him and see how he and Marie are doing. OK if I mention you as my intellegence source in finding this address? Thanks, and Semper Fidelis!

Yes, Top Hammock is the living definition of a Marine SNCO. I still remember him asking me why I looked like Joe Sh*t the Rag Man. I told him that my 3rd shift roommate was screwing me up.

So he just picks up the phone to the Company Gunny, "Top Hammock here, get Kannon a new 1st shift roomate." And that was all he said.

Sure enough, I get back to the barracks and there is the Company Gunny with my new room assignment.
