Hearing waiver

Does anyone know the resctrictions on hearing and how good your hearing has to be

I am at about a 20% hearing loss I let my recruiter know that but he really didint say yes or no bu i dont think he would let me go to the poole functions if he wast sure

If anyone can shed some light on this i would aprecciate it

I'm not sure but I've got horrible hearing in my left ear and I got passed just fine.

Best I can tell you is to take the asvab and go get your medical screening. I had to get a waiver for my hearing before I could join.

I had about the same loss in my right ear due to a inner ear disorder called c-toma. I got a letter from My Doc stating that it would not hinder me in the military. But that was in 1978 and thing may have changed since then...
