Ahh, it's so confusing! Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom Day". This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government.

This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been since 1991. It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice anything special about those dates?

Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim.

Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men. Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).

Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to avoid paying his own.

Pass this on. Only a few days until the election.

Look at the whole picture not just the sound bites.

77 billion spent on Serbia and we still had a budget surplus. That's not the case today, and that 87 billion on Iraq is very low ball.

The regime change in Serbia was backed up by our long time allies. Those same allies are no longer with us. Instead of the NATO gang, we exchanged them for Costa Rica. You want our lads fighting alongside a Dutch regiment or a Costa Rican platoon?

Bombing a Chinese Embassy, that's still a good idea!

Yes there were mass graves found in Serbia.

SecState Powell apoligized about the pre-war WMD assesment. Yup, bad.

Custody of Bin Laden? "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." - GW Bush, 3/13/02.

"Clinton - Saddam Nukes Good"? Where the heck did that come from?

What good is a tax freedom day when the deficit is so huge? Sooner or later someone has to pay for it. I personally don't have that kind of dough.

With the weakening of our allied suuport, we have lost poltical clout. Now with a huge national deficit we are losing our global economic clout.
