It remind me of a post on my message board that MGySgt William "Bill" Robinson Jr USMC aka MGunz wrote on the death of Sgt. George H. Morrow USMC aka Nomad;

Here's the first...
"After the worst has happened,
with nothing left to bear,
the sun continues rising with undiminished cheer,
and winds continue blowing,
and skies continue fair,
and hearts continue bearing the things they could not bear.

The second is by Stevenson...
Under the wide and starry sky
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.
This be the verse you grave for me
Here he lies where he longed to be.
Home is the Sailor, home from the sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.

I'de like to add this one too.
It's the last verse of the epitaph
from Thomas' "Ellegy in a Country Church Yard".

Large was his bounty and his soul sincere.
Heaven did a recompence as largly sent.
He gave to misery, all he had, a tear.
And gained from heaven, T'was all he wished.
A friend.

My note;
Surely they will never be dead as long as we remember them.
I been thinking of my two dear friends and the void they left in our respect hearts.
Just like all these young Marines fighting in this terrible war.
Till we meet in the ranks above.
