A very special thing happened to me on Friday. My Senior Drill Instructor gave the order, "Platoon 3093.... DISMISSED!". I took a step back with 79 other men and did an about face. I'm now a part of something that, at times, I didn't think I would measure up to. I can now say I'm a Marine. I now know why so many before me acted and talked the way that they do. I've got so much pride right now, it's almost obsene. No matter what happens from now till the day I die, noone can take away my title from my Corps. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
