Well, no one is taking you up on your offer SparrowHawk, so why don't you stop by. Bring a six pack of your favorite tea. We are having nachos'. It's too hot to do anything else...

I would love to drop by, a good Marine friend that I haven't seen since Nam lives in Boise.

Jonathan Boyd he was an 0351, got shot in the shoulder and a bullet creased his forhead on Nov 19, 1967

He came back to the unit about a month later. Outstanding Marine

think he works for the post office there

I had 2 big juicy burgers on the grill tonight.
Hot Damn.....!!!

Speaking of amusement parks, I had the thrill of riding the new coaster "Stone Runner" at Hershey Park a couple of weeks ago.
0 - 72 MPH in 2 seconds then straight up 18 stories....
Then straight down 18 stories......

Accelerating coaster.
The best.

I often wonder when I'm actually going to be too old to ride these new coasters.
I hope never.

Had breakfast this evening. Libby's corned beef hash with melted cheese on top and a fried egg in the middle, straddled by two slices of buttered sour dough toast. The hot sauce and Kirin Ichiban beer were nice additions. With my stomach now in such disarray I may have to sleep by myself and I don't really know if it was worth it. LOL.

In MCLB Albany, my mother send me a German Chocolate cake for my birthday once. I knocked on only 6 rooms in the barracks before it was totally comsumed!

Those Marines only half assed listened to the tale of the birthday cake. They were too busy stuffing themselves to really pay attention!

I earned quite a few favors that night!

Thanks for the invite, Sparrowhawk. I've already had chow at 0430 this am but I wouldn't mind taking a plane flight to California for a snack. Maybe I could send you a Cuban Sandwich or a Media Noche Sandwich (Midnight Sandwich) in the mail...although by the time it got to you (Christmas mail and all) I don't think the next door dog would want it.....but it's the thought that counts..........isn't it?

Sgt Morales, AM

Cook...I must say, you are a lucky man! Your wife is very beautiful. I can see the love in her eyes. You must be doing that eye thing again!
You can tell her that too! LOL

If you're buying breakfast...heck...pick me up some Huevos Rancheros with a side of refried beans and tortillas!!

Osotogary
12-15-04, 10:17 AM
Sgt. Morales,
Where can you get good Homestyle Huevos Rancheros, refried beans and homemade corn tortillas in Florida? I know that down, in and around, Homestead there might be a spot or two because of the seasonal workers but that's about it. (I am excluding franchised Mexican Restaraunts).
I could use some good Chili Rellanos as well.

Sgt Morales, AM

There is a lady that sells homestyle mexican food from her house. She live nears a place called Perdido Key. She is very nice...so nice in fact, she lets you eat inside her home with her family. Futunately, I am on leave here in Texas. So mexican food is EVERYWHERE. I just happen to like Huevos rancheros from California better.
