The U. S. Marines
Right out of High School, I was just seventeen
Saw that recruiter to become a Marine
Hopped on a Greyhound, I was P. I. bound
Some twenty hours later I was on the ground
Hair shaved off and I'm running all day
Working for my Blues and an EGA
Eighteen weeks of hell in the sun
"This is my Rifle, we don't call it a gun"
Drill Instructors hard
Setting down the law
Molding all us pukes into the Dogs of War
Built on tradition and polished to gleam
Earning the title of U. S. Marine
