Hi everyone! My name is Courtney, my boyfriend just went to Parris Island about two weeks ago. I didn't get the official letter with all his information until a few days ago. Until then I had been writing letters and saving them to send all at once. They wouldn't fit inside a regular envelope so I stuck them inside one of those manilla folders. Just now, though, I read on gunnydi's Parris Island site that letters not written in black ink and sent in plain white envelopes are considered an "infraction to the USMC rules and regs of boot camp." The site also says that he'll have to do extra PT because of this. Is that true? I would feel so awful if he got yelled at for something I had no idea about and he had no control over.
