Come on.......
sing along.
You might say that I have nothing better to do. LOL
I might be having fun here but I understand and respect the seriousness of this holiday as I observe it.
Happy 4th.

Don't go forth with a fifth on the fourth
Or you may not come forth on the fifth
Be safe AND responsible, all of you.
Enjoy or Countrys Birthday. I know I will

This Holiday is difficult for me to deal with...its been that way for some time...load bang of M-80's when unexpected has me reacting much in the manner that I did in 1965.
Lucky I don't have a weapon or I might blast off a few.
Than the smell of cordite...brings back a memory I rather forget.
The night this young L/Cpl got hit in the face with shaprnel from a booby trap hand grenade.
Then the screams till I got him on a medvac, the Corpsman told me that he thought he wasn't going to make.
A Young (Old) Man walking on a path remember other young men of his youth now forever still, was it luck or God's will?
With that said...have a Happy 4th of July but play it safe and watchout for your young ones...had a terrible time, when my daughter step on a 'sparkler' had to get a lot of crushed ice to soak her foot, so there wouldn't be any scar tissue...

But you lose less arguements that way! LOL!
I think we should be apolitical on this forum on the 4th of July. We're all Americans and that day should be spent just celebrating America. Happy 4th of July to everyone.
Ricardo,
Thanks for sharing.
A series of events that I can say I never HAD to experience myself, because of you that did before me.
And we ALL need to remember WHO has made this Countrys birthday possible. Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and Civillians from 228 years ago, till today. It has truly been a long, expensive road.
We often hear of celebrating 'Inedpendence' day, but not about the battles, and men and women that made it possible. Remember, the Marines are older than the Country herself.
I always celebrate the fourth with friends and family, as we all do. But I also make sure, to remember, the sacrifices that have made all of this possible.
Happy Birthday America, Lady Liberty, Uncle Sam, et al.
Be safe my Marine friends and family, and
REMEMBER
