Will you remain at 'Half Mast' during the Fourth, in rememberance of President Reagan, or bring 'Ole Glory' on up to the top of the staff, where she can wave so proudly on her Birthday ??

I'm RAISING THE FLAG !!

The President stated that the Flag was to be at 'Half Mast' through July 3rd. Threrefore, you can run her up to full Mast.

The flag should not fly at half-mast on July 4 except during times as precribed by the Commander-in-Chief (in this case, the 30-day period of mourning for former President Ronald Reagan during which time the flag will fly at half-mast per U.S. Flag Code and doesn't require the CIC to direct.) Per Flag Code:

"The flag shall be flown at half-staff thirty days from the death of the President or a former President; ten days from the day of death of the Vice President, the Chief Justice or a retired Chief Justice of the United States, or the Speaker of the House of Representatives; from the day of death until interment of an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, a Secretary of an executive or military department, a former Vice President, or the Governor of a State, territory, or possession; and on the day of death and the following day for a Member of Congress..." (36 USC 177)
