View Full Version : Connecticut Recruiting Office??
Hello
My name is Jimmy I´m 18 years old soon and I live in Sweden.
I will join the Marine Corps in a few years when I have moved to the US, I got a lot of motivation and nothing can stop me. I know it will be a long road to go as I´m not a US citizen, but as a Marine in here once told me: if you got it in your heart NOTHING can stop you! Very true and wise.
But however, my question for now is if anyone in here knows if there is a Marine Corps Recruiting Office in Connecticut near Norwalk?
I will be going on a one week vacation in the US and Norwalk, CT on June 5th, so I would appriceate if anyone knows if there is a Recruiting Office and the adress?
Thought I would go in there and just say hello and see if I can get some posters and stuff....
I have search a long time now on the internet trying to locate the recruiting office, but I have not found anything, so I really would appriceate if anyone in here could help me out...
Have a great day everyone
//Jimmy

No, they're not. But you can buy them at almost any large book store. Or you can order them online (and have them shipped to you in Sweden)
Man, its great to hear from someone whos overseas and wants to be a US Marine. Have you started a workout regime yet?
If you need help studying for your citizenship test, e-mail me. I can get you a copy of 100 sample questions that may be asked on the test. I can also give you some pointers on how to study for it. I helped an Egyptian friend of mine study, and ace his citizenship test about a month or so ago.

Jimmy,
You and I had this conversation some time ago. You do not appear to meet the citizenship requirements to join the Marines. Understand you must meet the citizenship requirements BEFORE you can enlist. Please do not get your heart set on joining when you come here. If you do not possess the required documents, there is no way a recruiter can assist you.

P.S. Norwalk, CT is my hometown!
don't need to be a US citizen, just permanent resident status (green card).

Sir, Thanks for the info and I know what I will have to do to get in, and I know it might be a very long road, I´m not taking ANYTHING or anyone for granted. But I thought just that I could stop by a recruiting office and say hello and se if they got some poster and stuff like that I could get.
I know there are going to be lots of paperwork and HARD training, and I know it might take years, but I´m confident, I know what I wanna be, I know what I wanna do with my life, and most important, I know what to do to get there.
Lake0300 thanks man, I REALLY appriceate it, I will send you an email for sure.
Yeah I have started to train, I´ve been training serious for about 2 years now, just to get prepared, and I will continue preparing ´till the day I´m shipped off to Boot Camp
Thank you very much everyone :)

Ivalis,
Do you know how one goes about getting the card? What you need to have in order to get one? People wait years to get a permanent alien card. No other visa or immigrant document can be used. By the way. having a permanent address and a sponsor in the states is required.
