sgt.lane,
I brought this one back with a few modifications. I sent this to my son when he was in PI. I don't know how many he had to "get down and give me" after he received it.:(
Maybe you can use it as well.

Got some letters off to Grandson and looking forward to hearing from him.

that is great, wonder what he will think if he gets more than one??? I did receive a "hey I made it and I am great" letter. I also received a letter from his senior "mass generated". Have yet to get a letter yet but his girlfriend has received one already,,hahahaha When Ole Sarge and I went in I don't think anything like that was sent to ma and pa on our behalf.

In the "Cave Men" days, I don't believe ever making a phone call or writting a letter home tell them that I had arrived or that I was well.
But we were better off than those of "Prehistoric" days, we flew.
It took close to nine hours of flying to get to San Diego, CA from Chicago, IL.
There was just two of us, so they pick us up in a pickup truck.
Short ride to MCRD SD.
Memories of standing on the yellow footprints yelling;
