Curious to know the other Marine's opinions on this. I would like to know more about "What Happened"? Being in the CivDiv, probably will never know. I feel sorry for the poor Bastard, till I know more more. Being a former Aerial Observer (VMO-1), FAC, FO and Naval Gunfire Spotter it can become a "S__t Sandwich faster than one can blink. Troops are under fire, radio calls just flooding what little communications you have up and working; Planes are on station demanding to be released to target and help the troops on the ground; you have Air Force Pilots in Support - not familiar with Marine ways nor ground troops. Grond pounders screaming for help. Brings back memories. I am going to put a plug in - too D___ bad there was not an airborne controller.
