John Kerry's "Civilian Stability Corps" sounds like the Soviet Union's Political Officer Cadre. It comes to mind to ask questions about the intention of such a group.
*They would go in behind the troops?
*To do what in "post conflict environments"?
*Will they run foreign countries which we might be engaged against militarily?
*Would they "re-educate" the population, such has been done in Gulags we have heard about?
*Would there be any useful "examples" to guide our "CSC" VOLUNTEERS, such as Cambodia or Post War Vietnam?
*Would we contract this sort of work out to other nations as well, such as the Castro Cubans?
*Where does Kerry propose to find these "Volunteers" to work for next to nothing?
*Would this be a way to repay political supporters, by placing them in a position of governmental power, without the label "Property of the U.S.A."?
What I read is "Pie in the Sky", not a real plan. None of the particulars exist. It is a wish list without merit or in-depth planning open to public scrutiny.
What I read is pure campaign rhetoric, and nothing else. It smells fishy to me.
Thats how I see it.
