I was setting thinking of Roger this past weekend and as my mind started to clear from the foggy haze of this past week I remembered something about my own Father's death. I knew there was something I was trying to remember. Something was written about him. Something was written from him. I didn't have far to wander or look. It was hanging on the wall going up our stairway with my Father's picture along side of it. I would like to share this with all of you.

SAFELY HOME

I am now at home in heaven;
All's so happy, all so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing past;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the Valley of the Shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still.
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idle stand;
Do your work while life remaineth--
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of the meeting!
Oh, the joy to see you come!

Thank you Roger for who you were but
also for what you made of us. We are
stronger and wiser for knowing you.

God Bless Brother

I am not an outspoken Religious man. I believe in what I believe. I'm sure I'm wrong about some things but I do believe there is a Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I do remember the above poem helped me deal with my Father's death a little easier. His death came at a bad time for me but then I guess all death does. I hope that it might make a difference to some of you in dealing with Roger's passing or possibly someone else's.

Thank You Rich.....
Very Moving Piece.....

The passing of Roger has changed Our Outlook of Life....
Tresure every moment you have with Your Love Ones.....Life is Too Short......

Well I can say....Roger had his last laugh on us....
My brother came over to say he needed to talk with me...
Stated when they started to dig the hole, water started flowing in his hole...Here they happened to find the stream .....that flows in the area.....

So we were not able to do the service at the area....

I just stated it was not inspects....It had to be done The Corps Way......

We did have the service at the church with the Marines...Ending with silence except for the Taps......Very Moving.....

Love
