CBS "SUNDAY MORNING" FEATURES VA CARE OF IRAQI FREEDOM VETS
The CBS television network “Sunday Morning” program takes a look at VA’s role in treating wounded Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans this Sunday (March 14). The program segment features three OIF patients being treated at the Miami VA Medical Center and an interview with Secretary Principi. The Secretary and veterans John Quincy Adams, Luis Calderon and Vilmarie McDougall discuss the way VA's health care system is taking care of the needs of America's newest generation of combat veterans. Miami VA Medical Center public affairs officer Susan Ward and the medical center staff made the CBS taping possible. Program airs locally at 9 a.m.March 14.
