Left eye dominate

When I fire a rifle its with my left hand on the trigger and left eye dominate... It sounds like during drill the barrel goes over your left shoulder but that would be backwards for me... do I change the way I shoot? Or is that only for drill? :confused:

Thanks it was one of those little big things... You dont really think about it, but it could be a big problem.

I am sure you would find a way to overcome it, even if it were not that way. I am one of the rare people in the world that is right handed but left eye dominate. I managed to shoot with my right eye well enough to be near perfect on more than one occassion.

I am right handed, but left eye dominate as well. I have always shot left handed (rifle) and right handed (pistol). Granted I qualified in both as a sharpshooter (except one time as expert with rifle), but it seemed(s) natural to shoot that way. The only problem I ever had was the hot cartridges being ejected onto my back. That was actually more of a nuisance than a problem though.
