Boot camp Question

Just wondering, how often can you write home or to friends or whatever when you are in boot camp?

You usually will get a chance to write letters home every evening.
Sunday mornings you should get a little time to write them also while your squaring away your gear, polishing boots ect. Some recruits write letters while on fire watch or in the dark in the middle of the night (Just don't get caught).
