WASHINGTON(Sept. 10, 2002) -- The shadows of five members of the Pentagon's tours section fall on a building behind the bleachers at the site of the Sept. 11 commemoration ceremony.
The ceremony will mark the one-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America.
125 service members and civilian workers were killed when terrorists flew American Airlines Flight 77 into the side of the nation's military headquarters at 9:37 a.m.
The ceremony starts at 9:30 a.m. and will ?honor those killed or injured here, acknowledge the Pentagon restoration effort, and highlight, once again, our vigorous prosecution of the war on terrorism," according to an Aug. 30 Pentagon building circular. There will be a moment of silence at 9:37.
