CAS3 ~ Driving alone across AMERICA!

Colleen CAS3, left our home last night and I just spoke to her.

She's in Flagstaff, Arizona on Highway 40 waiting in traffic. Seems there was an accident on Highway 40 last night.

Fortunately she had stopped just before and gotten some sleep. Traffic is now starting to move and I said we would be keeping track of her, as she makes her way across America to Washington, DC.

<blink> She's good to go, to make it to Santa Fe, New Mexico, then she'll check in again and we'll see how it goes with her. </blink>

Anybody know anyone with Satellite connections? LMAO

We all know she has a directional problem. Maybe it isn't a problem when she is just traveling east or west. It could be her problem only occurs when you complicate the instructions with throwing in SE, NE, NW, or SW!!!! LOL

Spoke to Colleen, this morning, 05:50 hours. She was just getting up, slept at a truck stop last night.

She said it rain through much of Arizona and New Mexico (probably a good thing, it slowed her down).

She's now in Oklahoma City and will be spending the day with her in-laws, for some reason they seemed to have taken a liking to her...LOL

Looking at the trip route in red it looks like she was heading east, then turned north. Someone needs to tell her to turn right so she is pointing east again!!! This morning she said, she was in Arkansas, when she really was in Kansas.

Cas shouldn't have a problem getting back to DC. She used Yahoo Maps to print her directions out. I have used Yahoo Maps many times and I think it is pretty good. Cas sent me her Yahoo Maps Driving Directions so everyone would know she will be OK. Here they are:

There were a few times when I did not feel safe but I knew I was being watched over by the Worlds Best MARINES!
I am so glad to be back. It really was a long trip. If only I weren't afraid to fly.
I might actually get some sleep now that Don finally called to say he is OK. From what I heard, the BOQ's are suites similar to those in the best hotels!! I guess he payed his dues as an enlisted MARINE first, right?:yes:

The batteries have remained unopened. Need to get some rest before I can even think about that!! :banana:

I couldn't make any money AT THE TRUCK STOPS...THE OTHER WOMEN THERE DIDN'T HAVE TEETH.....use your imagination.......:lick:

I really do appreciate the kind thoughts words and prayers during my trip. Those of you who commented otherwise, Bruce, Linda, Spiderman and my sis...you all made me laugh and feel stress free. THANK YOU TOO!!
