Things Never to say to a Drill Instructor

* My recruiter wanted me to tell you to be especially nice to me.

* I want my mommy.

*Okay, you can stop yelling anytime you want.

* I can't wait to graduate and be a real soldier!

* I should've joined the Navy.

* You want me to do what?

* Dude.

* My Mom (or Recruiter) said you aren't allowed to swear at me.

* Where's my stress card?

(I stand corrected, always associated with being

a "Army thing" but apparently actually

a "Navy thing".

* I'm a reservist and I'm just doing this for college money.

* I'm going to be an MP.

* Yes, Drill Sergeant! (definite NO NO!)

After a brief tour with the army before enlisting in the corps I actually used the Yes, Drill Sergeant!! You are absolutely correct, that was a big time no-no!!

The Marine Corps had adopted the stress card in the late 90's....found out we didn't like it and no longer use it....

Actually heard someone in my platoon say "yeah" once....and only once!!!

The word "you", period! Never, never, never!

"Do I look like a female sheep? Are you saying you want to **** me?" (with fire flaring out of nostrils, and eyes on "disintegrate" setting)

Never, never, never...

And ya don't ask "why?"!

If you thank them, they will tell you not to, they get paid to do this!

not in my contract sir, I don't feel like doing that sir, (25 year old recruit talking to a 24 year old Drill Sergeant), my mother taught me to respect my elders and you don't fit that description sir.
