IS THE PFT HARD IN MCRDSD? I KNOW ITS 3 MILES BUT HOW DO THEY RUN IT EVERYONE TAKE OFF AT ONCE OR ONE AT A TIME TAKING OFF?
You all take off at once... when the last person crosses the starting line they will start the clock.

it's not hard, you run 1 and a half miles to a certain point on the track and then turn around to run the 2nd half. by the end of boot it's more of a race and your racing for your platoon to win. it's all straight, no uphill or downhill. and plus you get to see all the pretty planes flying overhead while your running! and your right next to the fence that seperates MCRD and the airport.

LcplStud is right, by the final PFT 3 miles will probaly be nothing, but I know how competitive everything is so racing will probaly make the 3 miles more fun. But what is the most miles we will run at one time? I know it is more then 3.

My best time was 20:30 when I was in lifeguard training. Did 20 pull ups also. Swimming is great for PT!
You got a crappy deal, vision836! yuk

My best PFT time was a 20:35 Don't worry so much _USMarine62104_. Just go to Boot Camp with no worries and take it day by day. By the time you get to the PFT you should not have a problem.

I know when I went through Parris Island, it was level. we ran on the old flight line, which is where the crucible is held. It's cool cause you get to see all the ranges and obsticles you will be going through when you get to the crucible.

Oh yeah! Swimming is great! I've been swimming for about 5 years. thats actually how I became interested in the Marines, my coach's were Marines, one was a reatired SGTMAJ, and the other (SGTMAJ's son) then a SGT, now a LT, back in town going to school.
they encouraged me to do something with my life, and explained the benifits of being a Marine, and here I am now, 47 days away from boot camp.
