For myself, my reflection will start at the Chicago airport, as I board the plane for the flight to San Diego.
I have no idea what my thoughts will be as the jet passes the Sears Tower but I do know the thoughts will not be of myself.

Cook; If you should read this-- I got a room with 2 racks in it, you're welcome to stay a night. I'll be landing around noon time on the 11th. The only day where plans are set will be Saturday, the 14th. Hell,even than, you're welcome. You can meet Pete Duncan. If all goes ok, I'm going to try & get the Corpsman to join us (he doesn't remember the attack).

[8th&I Marine]

I am working on that day. I am driving a ladder truck for my fire dept. Just do me a favor pray for all of us. We are all on edge that day. I am suppose to go to a church that night here in town. It would take a battalion of MARINES for me not to make it there.
