He looks kinda wet to me, I wonder how that happened. I hope he brought an extra pair of socks. Funny how everybody wants to be us today, not so much back in the day.

Was just thinking actually having a mini flashback...It was Graduation Day at P.I ‘68 my PaPa and Mom where in the stands it was Beautiful,He was wearing his dress greens US Army,He had just returned from his 3rd tour as an Advisor with MACV...He’s gone now A O took my PaPa Out !! Yesterday I saw a Big Hawk Flying and I knew He was just fine fine fine...Im the Son of a Vietnam Veteran and Im Dam Proud too Be One...Go Easy...S F

My Dad is a Veteran of WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. 82nd Airborne in WW2 and Korea. Division SgtMaj 1st ID, when the Division rotated to Vietnam, in 1965.

My Bro-in law had married my sister about six months earlier, and he also rotated over with Dad, and the 1st ID. He also made a career of the Army, and retired as a Sergeant Major.

My time in Vietnam came almost 5 years later Oct '69. My brother-in-law was in country on his second tour down south somewhere around Saigon, but we never got together ... All three of the men in my immediate family, who were adults then, served in Vietnam ... I'm the only one still above ground.
