My MOS is Command and Control Electrician and I would like to know what type of duty i would be doing with this MOS?
Will I attend 29 Palms for MOS school?
What are the possibilities of me crosstraining into another COMM MOS?
If your a Communication Marine please give me advice on what I can research to get more information on my MOS

I spent 6 years in Comm with 2/4 and 2/6. Email me and I'll answer any questions you have. I was a 2818 (computer tech), but could tell you about just about any of the 2800 field MOS's.

Yes, School is in 29 Palms, Alpha Company, depending on which school you attend you could be there close to a year. You could be going to any different unit in the Marine Corps, airwing, FSSG, Infantry Battalion... etc More than likely you will get a chance to do some of the other comm jobs with whatever unit you go to. Like they always say at our shop, your not limited to do what your specific MOS is, were all communicators. Good Luck.

I don't know much about a Command and Control Electrician. We didn't have one of those in my units, and never heard of one being with an Infantry unit, Comm Plt. That might be more of a FSSG MOS. When we were in the field the wireman did all the electrical and phone cabling and ran the generators (If I remember they were a 2500 field MOS).
I spent 10 months in 29 Palms in school. Went through two schools, Basic Electronics and Teletype repair. Both were fairly difficult schools, saw a lot of Marines get dropped because of failing grades. They cram a lot of knowledge into those 10 months! After that I went to 2/4 until it was redesignated as 2/6. Spent almost 5 years with the grunts and had a blast. Went all over the world and did everything the grunts did. If they can't talk, they can't fight, so there was always someone from Comm with them :) I was in Comm Co., 2nd FSSG the last 3 months I was in and hated it. Too much like a desk job, no action, no deployments...WAY too layed back for me. So I suggest going to an Infantry unit, that's just my opinion though.

I'm assuming the word ELECTRICIAN is your key word here.
