my husband is in boot right now and is going recon mos 0321. are they able to talk during trining/ have liberty? i need some help. or can you just explain how it goes overall?

While in boot camp, phone calls are few and far between and no liberty. Once he goes to SOI, he will have more opportunity to call, but not everyday. After SOI, while he is in BRT, he will be able to call more often yet, if he feels up to it. BRT is very physically intensive and involves lots of swimming. I do not know what the liberty policy is for BRT. I'm sure he will have some opportunities for liberty.
