Interesting video, for sure. I'd say they are the "best and brightest" among today's protesters. LOL. At the same time, you will have to realize these are some of the people, whose rights you will protect by your service. Scary thought, isn't it. They won't thank you for it either. Ain't America great?

I know what you mean. Some of my friends I've grown up with are total potheads and pretty much losers. Told them I'd make them a deal. I'd go and put my life on the line and they can sit at home stoned and look for me or my unit on tv and in the papers. If the remember to record it or cut the article out, send it to me. LOL. They're all behind me though and wish they made different choices now looking back on it. Wish they did something with their lives other than getting cheeched and flipping burgers.

Yeah we gotta fight for a bunch of people to take the day off work and parade around with signs about things that they don't have a clue about!

As much as I disagree with them, I'm kind of glad we have crackheads like that running around. I don't think we need that many, but a few is a good thing I think. I think that that far left sometimes keeps the right a little more honest, and vice versa. If every opinion in the country was the same I don't think thte country would be near as strong.

The people in those videos would probably serve their cause better by being a little more educated. But then again, the makers of the video probably interviewed 100 people and these were the stupidest answers.

I agree with Cpl. cmbell though that a lot of these people don't have a clue what they are arguing for.

I found the part that said what would you do and the people responding "duh, I don't know" kind of funny. Makes you proud to serve/want to serve your country doesn't it?

Many of the people in the video don't really understand what they stand for. However, never...never underestimate your "opposition". You need to be well informed before you go confronting demonstrators, or any civilians. If they are Americans, they may even become abusive, in an effort to get you to respond with violence. That would PROVE their viewpoint.

Don't let yourself get sucked into a fight over political points. Keep your emotions in check. If you are physically struck, that is different, but only if you are struck. Believe it or not, these babblers are counting on your self control.

Once in the Corps, your senior NCOs and Officers will give you the guidelines for handling civilians while on liberty or leave. Remember you won't get a date just because you agree politically with some sweet smiling young lady, or guy for you future WMs. They will always have a "steady" waiting for them at the end of the conversation.

Use your brains and you won't go wrong.

We only fight to preserve our freedom, wouldn't it be great if all we had to do was keep the other countries in check? Now I don't mean to dominate them. If the United states wanted to rule the world all it would have to do is drop a few Nukes on key countries like China, Iran.

I hope I haven't put my foot in my mouth. LOL

If you're not joking, then apply Corps logic. Marines don't "run for it..." We charge forward. If necessary to complete the mission, we will charge in another direction, or fall back to regroup and advance from a new angle, but we never run away.

Yes, I'm joking.
I have thought about breaking one of thier signs and punching one of the bloody hippies in the face. I haven't done either...but it sounds like fun.

a steller group of citizens, not necessarily "pillars of the community"but the average well informed type--not 1 good answer among them all, which leads me to believe that if dynamite was brains, there wasn*t enough there to blow 1 nose:banana:

I think its funny to see how stupid people really are especially when he asked what do you think we should do " i don't know, but we shouldn't have bombed them" Nobody wants to see anybody go and risk dying but how do they think they got that freedom to speak.
