Political Humor

Now after it's all said and done, and this damn war is finally won.
We can say that we have won this fight, you all know that George W. was right.
No matter what the Democrats want you to hear, George W. will serve another four years.
Now all Vietnam Veterans get out and cast your vote, This election is for real, it isn't a joke.
We don't want to go back to the Clinton times, Who will take the money that is rightfully yours and mine.
Gen Wesley Clark doesn't seem to be able to get it right,
Doesn't seem to have the guts, to get off his Generals ass and join this fight.
Yes John Kerry did served in Vietnam, now it seems that he don't give a damn.
Braggs that he save another man, he couldn't let him die.
hell you're not the only one Kerry, I served at Chu Lai.
You are a big hero by your owe views, but you will never be able to fill George W.'s shoes.
You can have John Edwards, the Liberal trial lawyer crook,
Malpractice Law suites, have lined his pocketbook.
Now who in the world is Howard Dean, I think He's that sore head whiney thing.
Now poor Joe Lieberman he must be sore, after Al Gore took him off his list and pushed him out the door.
Remember Dick Gephardt, that liberal who though he was so smart?
You don't see him anymore, he was gone from the start.
Then we have Al Sharpston, Was he the son of a preacher man?
Knew sure that he could win, Sorry Al, you're just another also ran.
Just where is Dennis Kucinich, don't hear about him very much,
Then that poor little guy, he was really out of touch.
Did I miss anyone, Please forgive me then, I don't think that you would of had a chance anyway to win.:marine:

I was going to mention Pat Paulsen, but I heard he died awhile back. Not sure if thats accurate. I think he ran for President as an independent anyway.

Well, if it worked for the election of a dead senator, then why not the Democrat presidential candidate? I refer to the man who defeated John Ashcroft for the senate seat from his state. He died just before or after he took office, and his wife was given his position and seat.

The Democrats could run LBJ, or RFK. It has worked in the past for voting in Chicago and other places. "Vote early, and vote often!"

Do you think that if Hillary Clinton ran and passed away, they would put Slick Willie in her place? LOL

No way, unless the amendment, which restricts Presidents to two terms in office, is overturned before the hypothetical election. Bill has already had his two terms, and that is that. However, it might put Chelsea in line for succession. Of course, Chelsea would have to move back here from England, if that were the case.

Personally, I don't like that concept in any form. It would be equivalent to inheritance of the throne of England, something passed from parent to heir. That is what separates monarchs from American Presidents. It would also mean the Constitution no longer mattered. It is the document I swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend, not any one man or woman sitting in the Oval Office.

No Chelsea not old enough. Then they could Amend the Constitution. I think that the President has to be 25, now I could be wrong.

To all who looks at this post.

"Do you think that if Hillary Clinton ran and passed away, they would put Slick Willie in her place? LOL"

To all that looks a this, THIS IS A JOKE repeat A JOKE, no intention of any harm towards Senator Hillary Clinton with this picture, this was intended in the event that she had past away from natural causes, not from any fowl play. Only a joke.

I believe the current minimum age for an elected President is 35 years old. I guess that excludes Chelsea after all.

He DIED before the election!

There were no legal grounds for his wife to take office but the machine moves on. Our votes are made a joke of when this kind of thing happens.

It was a huge embarrassment for Missouri!

John Ashcroft did get the better win in the end! ;)

apparently the good voters of Missouri preferred a corpse to Ashcroft. Kinda tells ya something.

Gunny --- Poem??
I thought you were writing prose. It certainly is thought provoking.

Thanks for the clarification. I couldn't agree with you more. It usurps the purpose of a vote, and favors politics over substance. Perhaps the senator should have served his term himself, in his casket, of course. It would guarantee him an excellent senate attendence record.

Prose, the ordinary form of written or spoken language, without rhyme or meter; nonfictional writing that is not poetry, dull, commonplace talk, expression, quality etc.
You really know how to make someone feel good, did you read the heading? "Political Humor"
Wasn't meant to upset people, seems as if some of you cannot take a joke, now I guess I will have to make one up about the Republicans so that you can laugh, then I can get blasted by the other side. LOL
