Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help me with this.

So, I wrote a book and my military career plays a big part in it, including deployments. I am aware that I cannot just publish this book without getting the proper authorization from DoD (The guy who published a book about killing Bin Laden got screwed because of that).

After doing a good amount of research, I have found absolutely nothing. I don't know who to get in touch with.
Maybe one of you can point me in the right direction?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Start with the Pentagon. Expect a lot of runaround.

Another thing you can do is try to contact published military authors (there are tons of them out there today and many are Marines). See if any of them is willing to share how they got their authorizations from DOD.

Have you tried your local Joint Public Affairs Officer (JPAO)?

Finally, publishers that have published your type of book probably have the information you need.

Good luck Devil.
